You get a much nicer moment in the boat! Volt Marine’s electric outboards are efficient, quiet and you avoid the smell of petrol \/ diesel. Today’s powertrains emit a lot of carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons – an electric outboard pollutes nothing. In addition, they require minimal maintenance, you avoid e.g. the winter conservation. Just like with electric cars, you get a very low operating cost.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\tWhy Volt Marine?\r\n\t\t\t\t

Volt Marine’s electric outboards are designed to make electric boat riding possible for everyone. In other words, we have been thinking about the price picture from the beginning, a bit like an electric outboard IKEA: Cheap and good for everyone.<\/p>\r\n

Our products are easy to use! Among other things, we have invested in the entire driveline, ie spinner and battery in complete installations. <\/p>\r\n

The entire package is designed so that it can be mounted in existing boat constructions with the least possible adaptation.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\tHow do I charge the battery?\r\n\t\t\t\t

You can connect the charger to the charging post at the bridge. The charging power is adjustable between 6, 10 or 14 A.<\/p>\r\n

The range varies. How far you get depends on your hull, system configuration and speed.<\/p>\r\n

The demo boat you see in the movies here on the website has a dead weight of 450 kg. The range for it is about 20 nautical miles with a speed of about 20 knots, plus a reserve of about 5 nautical miles at 4 knots.<\/p>\r\n

With lower speed, you will go much further! With a speed of 4-5 knots, the range is more than 50 nautical miles.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\tWhat does the system require for maintenance?\r\n\t\t\t\t

Replacement of impeller every two years.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\tHow long does the battery last?\r\n\t\t\t\t

After 3,000 charge cycles, 80% of the battery’s capacity remains. This is equivalent to 60,000 nautical miles at a speed of 20 knots or 2.5 revolutions around the earth. <\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\tHow much does the entire driveline weigh?\r\n\t\t\t\t

Outboard VMU 60, battery pack VMB 34 and charger together weigh 334 kg.<\/p>\r\n
