A vision of electric boats
Do you love being on the lake? To go boating? Like a motorboat? Preferably with a little speed? We too.
And we love nature out there. The one we need to be a little afraid of. Which we want to continue to enjoy. Which we want our children to enjoy too. From there, it was not a long way to start thinking about how to drive a boat in an environmentally friendly way. With electricity, of course. Electric boats are not only good for the environment, they also provide a better nature experience because you avoid noisy sound mats and the smell of petrol. Just such a thing.
There are some players out there who work with electric motors for boats. But we have so many good ideas that we do not want to wait and see what they come up with.
We think like this about electric boats:
-
We want to work with the entire driveline
- not only the outboard but also the battery pack and charger so that we have full control that the units work well together. It gives full control over charging and control of both battery and motor.
-
Complete installations
- together with partners who know boats, we want to offer complete installations where battery systems are integrated in the boat.
-
Shaped battery packs
- which can be mounted on existing boat models with the least possible adaptation.
-
Everyone should be able to become an electric boat
- it is incredibly important for the environment and our future. Therefore, the price picture must be affordable for as many people as possible.
-
Together with boat manufacturers
- we want to find boat models that are relatively light in weight and easy to drive to develop the boats of the future.
-
How are you thinking?
May we introduce ourselves ...
David about Lasse
Lasse and I have been friends since our early teens. Why do I believe in him as an entrepreneur? This I know:
Lasse has many years in the water and sewerage industry behind him. I have followed how he built up a local company, which dealt with pumping stations for sewage and drinking water, into a company with operations throughout Sweden. After Lasse sold the company, he continued to work for a long time with the larger contracts. He simply has a lot of knowledge and experience that is not so easy to replace. In recent years, he has worked in the consulting industry designing pump stations.
Lasse is also the type of entrepreneur who likes to run companies and invest in new ideas. So when he thinks my outboards are something to bet on: Then you drive!

Lasse about David
We called him "The Mother" already in his teens, because what he could not screw up - there was none. And so it probably still is. Today, David works as a technology manager at a manufacturing industry in Småland.
David is the real technician of us. He is the one who developed the technology behind Volt Marine's driveline. After building prototypes and testing the electric spinners for a long time, we could see that this is something that can really work.
In the spring of 2021, we decided to put our bags together and invest in Volt Marine. So that everyone can ride an electric boat.
